Post Procedure Care
Upon completion of your treatment you will be provided with detailed Home Care Instructions.
Healing time is minimal for most treatments varying between 4 to 14 days depending on the treatment.
Mostly it is hardly noticeable and only a small percentage of people have some mild swelling, itchiness or tenderness, but in general all activities can be continued immediately.
You will be required to use an after-care cream. The application of this cream will be explained upon completion of your procedure.
If you have a history of cold sores, fever or sun blisters, or any type of sore on the lip, you may have a reoccurrence of these after a lip treatment.
It is recommended that two weeks prior to any lip cosmetic tattoo procedure, you take a course of Blackmore's L Lysine tablets or ask your doctor for a prescription of Zovirax Tablets.
Where possible avoid chocolate, peanut butter, cocoa powder or oats, as these encourage the Herpes virus.
It must be understood that the use of any product containing Retin-A or A.H.A's (alpha hydroxy acids) or any Glycolic acid or peels will fade the colour tattoo. Use of these products must cease at least one month prior to your treatment.
Sun Block is to be at all times, as exposure will fade colour.
